Jedi Masters

Today I used photoshop to create light sabers out of meter sticks. It was a tricky process but it was fun and turned out great in the end.

Logo over the years

This is the Starbucks logo from the beginning of the company to the most recent alteration. As time went on the logo gets more simple and less complex and also more appealing  to the eye. In my opinion, the company made smart decisions in making the logo simple because most modern day people live a simple life style.

Me at the Golden Gate Bridge

This is my photoshop project of the Golden Gate Bridge. I  added a full body picture of myself, including a shadow, a small sail boat and a air plane. Also I altered the grass, water and the sky to make them look prettier and eye catching. The project was mildly challenging but I had fun playing around with the different tools on photoshop.

I restored this photo in photoshop. There is an before and after picture, you will notice that the tear in the top left corner is repaired as well as several dark spots throughout the photograph. I used the cloning and patch tool to repair this picture.

Samsung Smart Watch

I watched a video from The Wall Street Journal, the video listed the pros and cons of this new technology. I personally think this is a great new idea, but if I had one I would be worried about breaking it. I'm quiet careless and I hit my wrists on everything. I always drop my phone as well, in the video it didn't touch on how the watch would be protected, which is a very important thing the company need to take into consideration. As a consumer I might buy this but my reasoning not to would be that my phone can do everything that the Smart Watch can do. Well that's my two cents on that matter.

Google Glasses Reflection

The Google Glasses seem like a very cool thing to have, but if I had them I would never get anything done. My phone is a big enough distraction as it is, just sitting in my pocket. I don't need something literally right in front of my eyes all day. That's just to much for me to handle.

About Me Prezi

My 27 Seconds

Ten years from now, where will I be? I'm going to be doing what I've dreamed of doing my entire life... Teaching. To inspire young children to love school the way I did back when I was in their position, it sounds like the best job in the world to me at least. Most people who be like "Ew, you want to spend all day, 5 days a week with snot nosed kids?" and I always say "Of course I would!", because if you have never witnessed the "Ah ha!", moment when a child finally understands how to add or subtract, when it clicks in their mind for the very first time. Then you wouldn't understand why I want to be a teacher. That "Ah ha moment" is the reason I want to be a 1st grade teacher, 1st grade there are so many new things to learn and experience. A good teacher can make children love or hate school/learning they're entire life, and I would like to be the reason why one of my future students goes off into the world to accomplish great things. I could go on and on about why I want to be a teacher but I think my time is up.

Summer Reflection

This summer I turned 17 years old, I went to Worlds of Fun with my friend Samantha on my birthday. I also worked around 30+ hours a week at McDonald's. I donated blood for the first time and I was perfectly fine all through the donation process, afterward I tweeted "Just donated blood for the first time #amazingfeeling" and about 7 mintues later I fainted and was out for 3 minutes, they said my eyes rolled back in my head. Because I passed out after donating I'm on the deferred list until July 1, 2014. I played Volleyball and Hostages with my soccer friends as well. -Kaleigh <3
